If you want to take pictures from 100,000 feet, you have to send your camera up to 100,000 feet! That's just what we did early Saturday morning. We had heard of the Global Space Balloon Challenge (GSBC) and decided to time our launch with their event.
We had two cameras on board (for stills and video), a 2m amateur radio sending back telemetry and GPS tracking data, and a geiger counter.
Most everything went as planed and we recovered the payload 8 miles from the predicted landing site! Wow, what a day!
